Participation of Public Officials, Social Organizations, and Gunmin
On the morning of the 8th, Hamyang County in Gyeongnam held a donation ceremony for relief funds to support the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. The event took place in the county governor's office, attended by County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong, Kim Jeom-nam, President of the Hamyang County Social Workers Association, and Kang Gi-cheol, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.
This fundraising was carried out through the voluntary participation of county office employees, the Hamyang County Social Workers Association, and local residents, raising a total of 6,763,000 KRW.
Governor Jin expressed during the donation ceremony, "I hope this contribution can help the people of Turkey and Syria, who are suffering great pain from the earthquake damage, to overcome the disaster quickly and heal their emotional wounds."
The relief funds delivered through the Community Chest on this day will be used for humanitarian aid activities to protect the lives and health of the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
