Geochang County Council Visits Key Military Administration Project Sites

The Geochang County Council in Gyeongnam visited the Geochang Detention Center, the construction site of the Elevator 2nd Test Tower, and a local elevator manufacturing company on the 8th.

On this day, the council members toured the detention center with Director Kim Chan-woo, discussing ways for the national facility to coexist with Geochang County, including promoting agricultural products and tourist attractions to visitors of the detention center. They also urged efforts to improve the public image of the detention center among residents.

At the Elevator 2nd Test Tower, which is a high-rise building reaching 120 meters, concerns about safety were expressed, and they requested that safety be prioritized above all in the construction of the test tower.

At the local elevator manufacturing company, they listened to difficulties and suggestions related to business operations, concluding the site visit schedule.

Chairman Lee Hong-hee said, “This site visit will be greatly helpful in conducting legislative activities with a sense of reality by confirming how major county government projects are progressing and directly hearing opinions from related personnel.”
