The Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) announced on the 8th that it held the 2023 KPGA Rules Officials Seminar for three days starting from the 6th at the Kang Wook-soon Golf Academy in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.

This seminar focused primarily on education regarding the golf rules revised this year. It also emphasized the roles and duties of rules officials through various programs including course setting and safety training.
Kwon Cheong-won, KPGA Rules Officials Chairman, said, "We thoroughly reviewed and familiarized ourselves with the newly changed golf rules alongside the rules officials," adding, "We concentrated on theoretical education and practical scenario training to ensure smooth game progress even when various situations arise."
For the 2023 season, the KPGA Rules Officials Committee will consist of nine central rules officials including the chairman, who will be in charge of the KPGA Korean Tour and KPGA Champions Tour, and 44 regional rules officials responsible for the KPGA Srixon Tour, regional qualifiers, and member selection tournaments for each level of the tour.
Kim Byung-jun, CEO of the Korea Professional Golf Tour (KGT), stated, "This season, KPGA is the largest ever and is about to sign a new broadcasting rights contract, making the role of rules officials more important than ever," and urged, "I hope they strive for fair judgments and game management with the best teamwork."
