Kyungbok University held the '2023 Academic Year Freshman Entrance Ceremony' on the 6th at the Namyangju Campus Gymnasium.

The entrance ceremony was divided into morning and afternoon sessions by department, attended by freshmen, parents, current students, and all faculty and staff. The event proceeded in the order of welcome remarks, declaration of admission approval, university students' pledges, professors' sincere education declaration, scholarship certificate presentation, entrance ceremony speech, congratulatory performances, and introduction to university life.

This year, Kyungbok University has a total of 2,461 freshmen.

President Jeon Ji-yong of Kyungbok University stated, "Freshmen, you are the proud talents who will realize the vision that Kyungbok University aims for," and emphasized, "Based on the Kyungbok spirit of loyalty, filial piety, humaneness, and self-reliance, all members of Kyungbok University will actively support you so that your precious dreams can be realized as Kyungbok people equipped with expertise and character in your major fields, and so that you can have an enjoyable and happy university life."

Kyungbok University ranked first in integrated employment rate among metropolitan universities with over 2,000 graduates for six consecutive years from 2017 to 2022, as announced by the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, it was selected as a 'General Financial Support University' in the 2021 Ministry of Education Basic University Competency Diagnosis Evaluation and was chosen for the 2022 Ministry of Education Link 3.0 Project.
