The county operates a total of 101 designated banner posting stands (52 six-tier stands and 49 low-tier stands) to prevent the indiscriminate installation of illegal banners and improve the cityscape.

The weekly usage fee has been drastically reduced from the previous 16,200 KRW to 11,800 KRW.

The county also discussed measures to eradicate illegal banners with the Outdoor Advertising Association and operates an advertising maintenance team to eliminate illegal banners that are habitually posted along major roads and side streets.

Additionally, they plan to conduct crackdowns on weekends and public holidays as well.

In particular, they intend to strongly regulate apartment sales advertisements and chronic advertisers, followed by imposing fines.

A county official stated, “We expect this to help alleviate the advertising burden on small business owners who are struggling due to recent price increases,” adding, “Especially in celebration of the 2023 Gochang Visit Year, we will do our best to present a clean image of Gochang to tourists visiting the region.”
