“WBC Success Wish”… CU Alcohol Discount Event

Wine Release by Major Baseball Teams in US Cities

CU announced on the 8th that it will launch differentiated wines in line with the World Baseball Classic (WBC) and hold various liquor discount events.

CU exclusively released seven wines representing baseball teams from major U.S. cities. The products include those for the LA Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, NY Mets, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, and NY Yankees. They are discounted to 12,900 KRW this month, and from the 9th to the 15th, when the Korean national team games are concentrated, they can be purchased at a special discounted price of 9,900 KRW.

For beer, 14 types of 6-pack bundles and 13 types of 4-pack bundles will be sold at 2,000 KRW per can from the 9th to the 15th. The 6-pack bundle event includes Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, Edelweiss, Tsingtao, and Volpas Angel. The 4-pack bundle event features Hoegaarden, Budweiser, and Stella.

CU will also hold a group viewing partnership event with Megabox on the PocketCU application (app). Customers who download viewing coupons for the WBC Japan game (10th) and China game (13th) from the event page and book by selecting WBC on the Megabox app or website will receive a free popcorn(R) coupon, limited to the first 2,000 people. Additionally, 50 customers who leave cheering comments will be selected by lottery to receive Megabox movie tickets as prizes.
