Appointment of 10 Local Writers for Returning to Farming and Rural Resettlement
Miryang City in Gyeongnam began operating the 2023 ‘Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Local Writers’ program on the 7th.
The Miryang Agricultural Technology Center held a briefing session on the 6th in a small conference room, where appointment letters were awarded to 10 newly selected ‘Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Local Writers’ for this year.

The briefing session was attended by the Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Local Writers, during which they shared information on the current agricultural status, local writer activities, and interview topics by townships, and discussed future activities such as revitalizing rural promotion.
The selected local writers will, until December this year, conduct field surveys and interviews on themes such as village introductions, successful cases of return-to-farming and return-to-village, talent sharing, traditional markets, local culture, and tourist attractions. They will create photo-centered content that uncovers the value of the region and provides local-based information that urban residents can find interesting.
A city official said, “In the flood of countless media and information, it is actually difficult to encounter stories about our own neighborhoods and neighbors,” adding, “We look forward to directly delivering the stories of our neighborhoods through the Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Local Writers.”
