The Netflix documentary "I Am God," which recently premiered and deals with the ugly sexual crime allegations against Jeong Myeong-seok (78), the president of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS), has prompted victims of the religion to share JMS church addresses nationwide to raise awareness.

This post was uploaded on the 5th to a JMS victims' cafe and contains churches across the country. According to the post, it includes the names and addresses of about 90 churches in 17 cities and provinces nationwide.

The author requests, "I obtained the nationwide church addresses and am posting them. Please widely distribute this and promote it as 'This is the church that believes in the cult leader who aimed to sexually assault ten thousand people.'"

One netizen expressed concern in the comments by adding about 35 more addresses, emphasizing the need to prevent further harm. Another netizen explained JMS characteristics, stating, "The church logo is written in a strange cult leader's cursive handwriting," and "They pretend to be Christians but call themselves things like Seobri-sa and Seobri-yeoksa (Providence Church, Providence History)." They continued, "They put a lot of effort into middle and high school worship services, making them like concerts, so be careful that your younger siblings, sons, daughters, or nephews don't get enticed," adding, "The reason the church list is circulating on the internet is because they extort money from believers until they cry blood to build churches."

They also said, "They boldly run a YouTube channel pretending to be a regular church," and "I went to a poetry meeting and they promoted Jeong Myeong-seok's poems, and there are indie musicians and dance teams who made lyrics from them, so be cautious."

Meanwhile, Jeong fled overseas in March 2001 after a prosecutorial investigation began in the late 1990s and early 2000s due to sexual scandals. From 2001 to 2006, while claiming to cure illnesses in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and other places, he sexually assaulted and molested five Korean female followers. He was arrested by Chinese public security in May 2007 on these charges and repatriated to South Korea in February 2008.

Jeong was sentenced to 10 years in prison for these charges and was released in February 2018 after serving his term. From immediately after his release until September 2021, he committed quasi-rape and quasi-sexual assault 17 times against foreign female followers in their 20s at training centers such as the Geumsan training center in Chungnam. Additionally, he was accused of forcibly molesting a foreign female follower in her 30s five times between July and December 2018. He was arrested in October last year and is currently on trial.
