Recipient of the "Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants President's Award"
The Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University (President Kim Dong-jin) has once again proven itself as the region's top department specializing in accounting and taxation.
According to Gwangju University on the 7th, students Aram Kim and Hyeyoung Jang (both seniors) from the Department of Accounting and Taxation recently received the "Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants President's Award," which honors outstanding academic achievers in the nationwide accounting and taxation major fields.
In addition to this award, the Department of Accounting and Taxation has consistently received the "Korea Productivity Center President's Award," given to top performers in the ERP Information Manager academic achievement from 2020 to 2023.
In December of last year, students Chanyeop Kim (senior) and Juho Jeong (junior) received the "Korea Tax Association President's Award," which is awarded to outstanding qualification achievers among accounting and taxation majors nationwide. Also, in December last year, student Younghwan Park (class of 2013) successfully passed the final stage of the 59th Tax Accountant Examination in 2022.
Professor Yukun Cho, head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, stated, "Gwangju University's Department of Accounting and Taxation operates a professional and systematic curriculum related to accounting and taxation utilizing ERP, artificial intelligence, and big data. We run separate preparatory classes for certified public accountants and tax accountants, as well as for national and local government accounting and taxation public servant appointments, actively supporting the acquisition of major-related certifications."
