Samsung Electronics' offline stores, previously known as ‘Samsung Digital Plaza,’ will be relaunched as ‘Samsung Store’ starting from the 8th.
On the 7th, Samsung Electronics announced that not only the 360 Digital Plaza locations nationwide but also all offline stores located in department stores and large supermarkets will be renamed to Samsung Store.
Through this name change, Samsung Electronics aims to strengthen its brand image, which has become younger with products like Galaxy, Bespoke, SmartThings, and Lifestyle TVs. Based on the value of a hyper-connected experience, the stores will transform into local community hubs where customers enjoy visiting and staying by offering regionally tailored content and programs.
To achieve this, Samsung Electronics plans to enhance collaboration with other industries to create multifunctional cultural spaces. By operating ‘Samsung Culture Lab,’ they will not only share how to use the latest Bespoke appliances and Galaxy devices but also run various programs favored by the MZ generation, such as cooking, interior design, and Galaxy-based short-form content creation classes. Additionally, four Samsung Store locations?Daechi, Bucheon Jungdong, Yongin Guseong, and Gimhae?will offer ‘Samsung Store Coding School,’ a science and coding class for toddlers and elementary school students.
With this name change, Samsung Electronics will reorganize its retail system into offline Samsung Store locations and the online store ‘Samsung.com,’ aiming to further advance integrated online and offline services in the future.
From the 8th to the 31st, Samsung Electronics will hold an event giving Starbucks gifticons to the first 10,000 Samsung Membership members who visit Samsung Store. Kang Bong-gu, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “The newly transformed ‘Samsung Store,’ changing for the first time in 23 years, will carefully reflect what customers want and evolve into a local landmark that offers a younger and more unique enjoyment. We ask for your great expectations and support.”
