Domestic Spring Travel Demand Surpasses Pre-COVID Levels

Tmon Domestic Travel Sales Increase 76% Year-on-Year
Up 37% Compared to Pre-COVID 2019

Domestic travel demand has surpassed pre-COVID levels. Tmon announced that its travel category sales increased by 76% compared to the same period last year, based on data analyzed for the month of February.


Compared to the same period in 2019, before COVID-19, sales rose by 37%. As daily life returns to normal with the lifting of indoor mask mandates and the arrival of a season with more outdoor activities, domestic travel demand is expected to continue increasing.

With spring arriving, demand for 'same-day family outings' that can be enjoyed without burden has surged. In particular, sales for 'Kids Park · Kids Experience,' popular among families with children, increased by 514% compared to the same period last year. 'Theme parks' also saw a 72% increase. Springtime 'hotel vacations' are also popular. Tmon explained that hotel category sales in February rose by 83% compared to the previous year.


Accordingly, Tmon is holding the 'Let's Spring Travel Festival' until the end of this month, offering special discounts on domestic and international travel and outing products. Kim Hak-jong, head of Tmon's Tour Biz Division, said, "We prepared the festival for customers who want to fully enjoy spring in a special way from March through May, which includes golden holidays and Family Month."
