Yeongchang Chemical is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as highlighting the domestic production of EUV rinse following the news that Samsung SDI announced plans to develop inorganic PR for EUV.
As of 9:32 AM on the 7th, Yeongchang Chemical is trading at 13,780 KRW, up 3.46% compared to the previous day.
According to the industry, Samsung Electronics mentioned the global trends of photoresist (PR) for extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and Samsung SDI's development of inorganic PR at the world's largest optical engineering conference, 'SPIE 2023,' held in the United States on the 2nd (local time). PR is an essential material in the photolithography process during semiconductor manufacturing. Inorganic PR is emerging as an alternative that can solve the problems of organic PR.
According to media reports, among domestic semiconductor material companies, Yeongchang Chemical has included its inorganic PR research and development details in its technology roadmap.
Yeongchang Chemical was the first in the world to develop and mass-produce rinses for ArF & KrF photoresists in 2004. In 2015, it developed the world's first rinse for special-purpose ArF immersion processes. Additionally, it developed EUV rinse in 2021 and has been commercializing it with domestic device companies since 2022.
