Busan Bank and Busan City Sign Agreement to Build Blockchain-Based Citizen Platform

On the 6th, BNK Busan Bank held a business agreement ceremony with Busan City Hall to promote the ‘Blockchain-based Integrated Citizen Platform Construction and Operation Pilot Project’ with Busan City.

According to this agreement, Busan Bank plans to collaborate with Busan City to provide integrated innovative services across finance, administration, and public sectors based on blockchain-based digital new technologies, and to expand the blockchain ecosystem.

As the operator of the Busan Blockchain Special Zone project, Busan Bank will leverage the technology and know-how it has secured to pilot the ‘Integrated Citizen Platform’ linking the blockchain-based ‘Digital Citizen ID’ with Busan City’s local currency ‘Dongbaekjeon’, aiming to launch it in the first half of next year.

The Integrated Citizen Platform is a platform that allows users to apply for and receive policy funds such as ▲childbirth support funds ▲child allowance ▲small business support funds all at once using the ‘Digital Citizen ID’ without visiting civil service offices.

The platform will also enable policy funds received to be linked to ‘Dongbaekjeon’, increasing the use of Dongbaekjeon and thereby revitalizing the local economy.

Additionally, the service quality will be enhanced by reflecting the opinions of the Citizen Experience Evaluation Group, which was launched along with the business agreement on the same day.

In the future, the platform will be expanded into an open platform encompassing blockchain-based public and private services, providing highly useful services as a hub for the regional digital ecosystem.

BNK Busan Bank President An Gam-chan said, “We will contribute to revitalizing the depressed local economy by providing innovative services to local residents.”
