Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 6th that as of the 28th of last month, a total of 348 people participated in the Jangseong-gun Hometown Love Donation Program, with the donation amount surpassing 100 million KRW.
By amount, 287 donors, accounting for 80% of the total, donated 100,000 KRW, which qualifies for a full tax credit, and there were also 23 high-value donors who contributed 1 million KRW or more.

As return gifts, local currency Jangseong Love Gift Certificates, apples, Daebong dried persimmons, and other representative local agricultural specialties were popular choices.
The county plans to fully commit to the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation Program by commemorating the achievement of 100 million KRW in donations with a future appreciation event and by discovering additional differentiated return gifts.
County Governor Kim Han-jong said, "Despite being in the early stages of implementation, many people from across the country who support Jangseong have participated," and added, "We will make further efforts to revitalize the system."
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their registered address and receive tax credit benefits and return gifts.
Donations are used for regional development such as improving residents' welfare. Participation is possible through the Hometown Love Donation website or at NongHyup bank counters.
