Dong-Eui Science University Selected as 'Cheonghaejin University' Operating Institution for 6 Consecutive Years

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been selected for six consecutive years as an operating institution of the ‘Cheonghaejin University’ program, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

The Cheonghaejin project is a program that selects and supports universities with the capacity to serve as strategic hubs to encourage university youth to enter promising and specialized overseas occupations. Selected universities can receive up to 10 million KRW per person annually for their overseas employment target.

According to the selection results for the first half of 2023 by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea on the Cheonghaejin University operating institutions announced on the 3rd, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected for one Japanese employment course (Automation Equipment Engineer Course).

This year, the Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Cheonghaejin project team aims to recruit 15 students for the ‘Automation Equipment Engineer Course’ targeting employment at Japanese companies. Four departments?Digital Convergence Machinery, Electric Vehicle, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Software?will jointly conduct major subjects and Japanese language education.

Lee Hwasoo, Director of the Employment Support Center, said, “Last year, 10 out of 11 trainees in the Cheonghaejin University program were employed by Japanese companies, showing an increase in overseas advancement. We will strive to expand opportunities for overseas employment through systematic curricula and full support by utilizing our university’s network with overseas companies.”

Since 2018, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has operated overseas employment projects such as the ‘Japanese Employment Automotive Parts and Mechanical Design Course’ under the Cheonghaejin University program, contributing to the activation of youth overseas employment. The total number of students who have completed overseas employment courses has reached approximately 200.
