The Gyeongbuk Office of Education will conduct a pilot operation of Neulbom School at 41 elementary schools starting in March.
Neulbom School aims to realize warm educational welfare by providing high-quality integrated education and care services before and after regular classes to elementary students who wish to participate, utilizing various educational resources inside and outside the school.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education supports the stable operation of Neulbom School by temporarily assigning contract teachers beyond the quota or administrative support staff for Neulbom School, placing program instructors and safety support personnel, establishing the Gyeongbuk Neulbom School operation system, and distributing the Neulbom School pilot operation guide to reduce the workload of pilot schools.
At the 41 Neulbom Schools, education and care programs that flexibly respond to the needs of students and parents will be operated, including Grade 1 Sprout Class, morning care, evening care, temporary care, and after-school linked gap care.
In particular, students and parents who wish to participate in Neulbom School programs will benefit from various high-quality after-school programs and flexible care services, resolving care gaps and receiving individualized customized program benefits.
Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, stated, “Through this pilot operation of Neulbom School, we will discover various Neulbom School operation models suited to the characteristics of the Gyeongbuk region, and by 2025, we will continuously support the work through cooperation between the Office of Education and the local community to ensure stable establishment in all school sites.”
