Studio Santa Claus announced on the 6th that it has recruited Yoon Hye-jin, CEO of the film company Andamiro, to strengthen its business capabilities.
CEO Yoon Hye-jin will join Studio Santa Claus as the director of the investment and distribution division. Yoon is an expert who has built a diverse career in the film industry, starting her career as a video translator.
She has translated numerous American TV series, including "The Good Wife." She began translating theatrical releases with "The White Ribbon" and gained recognition with the translation of "To Rome with Love." Since then, she has translated many films such as "Blue Jasmine" and "The Imitation Game," and leveraging her expertise as a translation specialist, she established a video translation academy to train many translators.
While handling interpretation and translation for import and distribution companies and traveling to overseas markets, she founded the import and distribution company "Andamiro" to directly introduce distinctive films she likes to Korea, importing various contents.
"Andamiro" became famous for special director retrospectives featuring directors like Alfred Hitchcock, Jim Jarmusch, and David Lynch, and has undertaken various initiatives such as carefully selecting classic masterpieces for re-release.
A representative of Studio Santa Claus stated, "By recruiting CEO Yoon Hye-jin of Andamiro and reorganizing the investment and distribution division, we have been able to strengthen the areas of content import, distribution, and circulation."
Regarding this year’s business progress, they added, "The drama and film production departments are expanding collaboration with production companies that have the capability to produce high-quality content alongside in-house production, and by strengthening the investment and distribution division and the overseas business division, we are enhancing our business capabilities to secure and provide diverse domestic and international content."
They continued, "Especially since the resumption of Korean content services on Chinese online video services (OTT) last year, we are expanding film and drama distribution and ancillary rights business through the overseas business division composed of Chinese staff, striving to become a central hub for Korea-China content exchange."
