Seoul City and Aekyung Industrial Support Sanitary Products for Young Women Preparing for Independence

Support of Goods Worth 150 Million Won

On the 8th, in celebration of 'International Women's Day,' the Seoul Metropolitan Government, together with Aekyung Industrial, the Community Chest of Korea, and People Sharing Hope, decided to provide female hygiene products (such as sanitary pads) worth 150 million KRW to young women preparing for independence.


To this end, on the 6th, Seoul City held a donation ceremony for sponsorship items for young women preparing for independence at Seoul City Hall, with Aekyung Industrial, the Community Chest of Korea, and People Sharing Hope. Attendees included Kim Seon-sun, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Women and Family Policy Office; Ahn Jeong-tae, Executive Director of Aekyung Industrial; Kim Kyung-hee, Head of Social Contribution at the Community Chest of Korea; and Kim Dong-woo, Vice Chairman of People Sharing Hope.


Through this event, Aekyung Industrial's own female hygiene products (sanitary pads, cleansing products) will be provided to approximately 400 young women preparing for independence residing in Seoul.


At the donation ceremony, Ahn Jeong-tae, Executive Director of Aekyung Industrial, said, "In celebration of International Women's Day, we decided to provide this support to offer a small help to young women in Seoul preparing for independence," adding, "Going forward, Chiyubi will deeply empathize with social issues according to the values pursued by the brand and will make every effort to solve them together."


Kim Seon-sun, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Women and Family Policy Office, said, "We are grateful for the donation of female hygiene products, which are essential in daily life but costly, for young women preparing to stand alone after leaving facilities," and added, "Seoul City will also make more meticulous efforts to support the safe and healthy growth and independence of young women preparing for independence, doing its best to ensure there are no blind spots."
