LG Uplus Holds the '2nd Customer Idea Contest'

LG Uplus announced on the 5th that it will hold the "2nd Customer Idea Contest," where customers can directly propose ideas and improve inconveniences, until the 7th of next month.


The Customer Idea Contest is a program designed to discover groundbreaking business items based on telecommunications and improvements to existing services from the customer's perspective. This is the second contest following last year. The final selected ideas will be carefully reviewed and applied to actual LG Uplus services.

The contest themes include four service areas: "Subscription," which can continuously motivate daily life; "Media & Play," such as Internet TV (IPTV) and mobile services that everyone can enjoy as the main character; "Growth & Care," which offers innovative experiences in daily life such as health, exercise, learning, pets, and senior care; and "New Business," various new businesses that can create synergy with telecommunication services.


LG Uplus will select 10 teams advancing to the finals on the 15th of next month through a fair evaluation based on various criteria such as feasibility, creativity, and marketability. The final winners will be announced in early May. The grand prize (1 team) will receive 3 million KRW, the excellence prize (2 teams) will receive 2 million KRW each, and the merit prize (3 teams) will receive 1 million KRW each.


Customers who wish to participate can submit a proposal plan by email by April 7th, including the background of the idea, service scenario, business expansion potential, and expected effects for the desired theme.


Meanwhile, in the 1st contest, a POS-linked pre-order service that manages the customer's restaurant visit process from restaurant search to food ordering was selected as the grand prize winner, providing optimal service to customers and an efficient working environment to restaurant owners.
