CU Holds 'Large-Volume Daily Necessities' Discount Event... Up to 50% Off

CU announced on the 5th that it is revamping its household goods category, focusing on bulk essential items targeting nearby budget shoppers, and will offer household goods at up to 50% off the regular price starting this month.

The newly launched grocery-exclusive household goods at CU this month consist of a total of 16 items, including detergent, shampoo, body wash, and fabric softener. These products boast generous quantities sufficient for 3 to 4-person households. As these items are specially planned to stabilize prices, they are offered at up to 50% discount, with additional telecom discounts applicable. Also, a reusable shopping bag is provided free of charge with the purchase of grocery-exclusive household goods.

In line with the trend of popular bulk products, CU will introduce 'Kimdeuktem' (16 pieces) on the 8th of this month. This product is made using raw materials from the clean waters of the southern coast and is double-baked with selected premium ingredients, sesame oil, and canola oil, resulting in a savory and umami flavor.

Along with quality, it also offers strong price competitiveness. The price per pack (5g) is 237 won, which is nearly 40% cheaper compared to NB products of the same quantity offered by large supermarkets or specialized food manufacturers.

Oh Jun-young, head of the household goods team at BGF Retail, said, “As convenience stores have become a representative platform for nearby shopping and the number of customers shopping there has increased, reflecting the growing demand for essential household goods, we have introduced permanently discounted products. CU will continue to introduce various products to help customers shop economically.”
