Haman-gun Confirms Hosting of the 35th Aragaya Cultural Festival

On the 2nd, Haman County in Gyeongnam held the 1st Aragayaculture Festival Committee meeting for the 35th Aragaya Culture Festival at the 3rd floor conference room of the county office annex.

Chairman of the Aragayaculture Festival Committee, County Governor Jo Geun-je, along with 30 committee members, attended the meeting where appointment letters were awarded and discussions on the basic event plan were held.

At the meeting, it was decided that to establish the identity and independence of the cultural festival, the Aragaya Culture Festival, which had been held independently since last year, will be held for three days from October 6 to 8, after the UNESCO World Heritage registration is expected to be decided around September, at the Maliyasan Tumuli and Aragil area.

Governor Jo said, “This year’s festival will be thoroughly prepared to ensure that the Aragaya Culture Festival successfully establishes itself as a unique and indigenous cultural festival,” and added, “We ask for the interest and support of the county residents.”
