Director of Department Instructs Discovery of Projects Utilizing Resources in Policy Discussion Document
Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it has started discovering projects aligned with the direction of responding to population decline.
On the 2nd, County Governor Kim Soon-ho held a policy discussion meeting with department heads and instructed the discovery of creative and differentiated projects to address population decline.
He also ordered thorough execution of current tasks, including devising safety management measures for the Sansuyu Flower Festival and Cherry Blossom Festival, promoting the school enrollment preparation fund support project, and cautioning the operation of the nuisance wildlife damage prevention team.
Since the government has been investing 1 trillion won annually for 10 years as a local extinction response fund in population decline areas since last year, Gurye-gun plans to focus all efforts on establishing a thorough basic plan to respond to population decline.
The county plans to discover appropriate projects that can contribute to population inflow and regional vitality enhancement by considering the area's characteristics, and to promote policies to expand not only the resident population but also the living population to boost regional vitality.
