Gong Young-min, Goheung County Governor, Donates to Hometown Love in Nowon-gu, Seoul

Seventh Sisters and Sister Cities Cheer Relay Unfolds

On the 3rd, Gong Young-min, the governor of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that he donated hometown love contributions to Nowon-gu, Seoul.


This donation was promoted as part of a sister and friendship city support relay to pray for the development of partnered cities through hometown love contributions and to promote the activation of the hometown love donation system.

Governor Gong Young-min has previously donated to Jeju Island in early January, Gwangju City, Gokseong-gun, Dong-gu in Ulsan, Namdong-gu in Incheon, and Chuncheon City, and by donating to Nowon-gu, he continues the seventh relay.


Governor Gong said, “I made this donation with the hope that the hometown love donation system will be successfully established in Nowon-gu,” adding, “I expect that this will lead to more active exchange and cooperation between the two cities.”


The hometown love donation system is designed to foster a healthy donation culture, reduce financial disparities between regions, and promote balanced national development. Individuals who donate to local governments other than their registered address can receive tax deductions and return gifts.
