Busan Gijang-gun has partnered with the Busan-Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation to manage electrical safety and prevent fire disasters in horticultural farms.
On the 27th of last month, Jeong Jong-bok, the governor of Gijang County, and Park Young-woong, the head of the Busan-Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, signed a business agreement to prevent fires in horticultural farms at the Gijang County Office.
On the 27th of last month, at the Gijang-gun Office in the county governor's office, County Governor Jeong Jong-bok and Park Young-woong, head of the Busan-Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, signed a "Business Agreement for Fire Prevention in Horticultural Farms."
Through this business agreement, the two organizations will cooperate to promote electrical safety in agricultural facilities (such as greenhouses), which repeatedly face issues every year, and to protect farmers' property from fire disasters while advancing agriculture in Gijang.
In particular, to prevent fire disasters, they plan to conduct electrical safety inspections and fire prevention consulting annually for 30 horticultural farms in collaboration with the Busan-Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok stated, "Witnessing the recurring fire tragedies every year has made us realize the critical importance of electrical safety management," adding, "To protect the lives and property of our residents, we will expand the scope beyond agriculture to the overall industry and cooperate with the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation to enhance practical fire prevention effects."
