18 Organizations · 25 Projects, 158 Million KRW Support
Gangwon Province will promote a public contest project to enhance welfare for persons with disabilities starting in March, aimed at promoting independence and self-sufficiency, expanding social participation, and strengthening the capabilities of disability organizations.
On the 3rd, the province announced, "This year, approximately 436 million KRW was applied for and received for 61 projects by 52 non-profit corporations and organizations within Gangwon Province."
The project selection was conducted through the provincial subsidy management committee, which reviewed the necessity and ripple effects of the projects, as well as compliance with budget allocation standards, with evaluations by working-level departments and field experts. As a result, 18 organizations and 25 projects (totaling 158 million KRW) were finalized.
The public contest project for the promotion of welfare for persons with disabilities reflects various ideas and voices from the field of non-profit corporations and organizations within the province. The province plans to continuously expand the project and continue supporting and monitoring the selected projects.
