9th Year This Year... Job Connection for Caddies Among North Korean Defectors
Golfzon County announced on the 3rd that it held the graduation ceremony for the '9th Sprout Caddy Training Program' for North Korean defectors.
This program has been conducted jointly by Golfzon County and the Korea Hana Foundation under the Ministry of Unification since 2014. It is a project that provides public interest jobs by linking employment for North Korean defectors with caddy positions, and this year marks its 9th session. The five graduates, who entered Golfzon County Cheonan in November last year and completed about three months of theoretical and practical training, will be assigned to Golfzon County's Hope workplaces in the future.

A Golfzon County official said, “The Sprout Caddy Training Program is already in its 9th session,” adding, “We are grateful to the North Korean defectors who have shown interest and applied for the program. We will strive to provide the best service to Golfzon County users through collaboration with the selected caddies.”
