Over 300 Public Officials and Citizens Attended
On the 2nd, Sacheon City in Gyeongnam held an anti-corruption and integrity pledge rally at the city hall auditorium, attended by about 300 people including Mayor Park Dongsik, public officials, and citizens, to eradicate corruption and realize a clean Sacheon.
The integrity pledge rally was organized to enhance employees' commitment to integrity, reform the organizational culture, and establish an administrative culture trusted by citizens through proactive administration.
Through the reading of the anti-corruption and integrity pledge, which included adherence to the code of conduct for public officials, prohibition of accepting money and entertainment, refusal of improper orders and solicitations, implementation of citizen satisfaction administration, and creation of a trustworthy public service society, participants reaffirmed their commitment to practice.
In particular, to realize anti-corruption and integrity policies, they decided to strengthen the foundation for establishing an integrity culture through various integrity initiatives such as operating a self-directed integrity learning system, holding integrity concerts, and providing integrity education for senior public officials and team leaders.
Mayor Park Dongsik said, “I ask all public officials to actively cooperate with fair and transparent anti-corruption and integrity policies so that Sacheon can become a clean city trusted by its citizens.”
