Renault Korea Motors announced on the 2nd that it sold 7,150 units domestically and internationally last month. This is a 38% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Domestic sales amounted to 2,218 units, a 40% decrease compared to the same period. Export volume was 4,932 units, down 37%. The February sales volume also significantly decreased compared to the previous January (10,045 units).
All models saw a decline in domestic sales. QM6 sales dropped to less than half compared to the same period last year, and the relatively recently released compact SUV XM3 also decreased by about 8% compared to last year.
The export situation was also unfavorable. Exports of the main export model, the XM3, decreased by 46%. It is reported that the company is facing difficulties securing dedicated car carriers for vehicle exports. Even the available ships have become more costly, leading to an increase in complaints about difficulties both inside and outside the company.
