Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 2nd that it sold 327,718 units globally in February this year, an increase of 7.3% compared to the same month last year.
Of these, 65,015 units were sold domestically and 262,703 units overseas. Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales increased significantly by 22.6%. Overseas sales also rose by 4.1%.
In the domestic market in February, sedans sold included 9,817 units of the Grandeur, 1,632 units of the Ioniq 6, 2,240 units of the Sonata, and 6,336 units of the Avante, totaling 20,025 units.
For RVs (recreational vehicles), 3,539 units of the Palisade, 2,776 units of the Santa Fe, 1,911 units of the Ioniq 5, 3,561 units of the Tucson, 3,225 units of the Kona, and 3,164 units of the Casper were sold, totaling 19,552 units.
The Porter recorded sales of 11,099 units, and the Staria sold 3,416 units. Medium and large buses and trucks sold 1,227 units.
Premium brand Genesis sold a total of 9,696 units, including 835 units of the G90, 4,290 units of the G80, 1,673 units of the GV80, and 2,468 units of the GV70.
A Hyundai Motor Company official stated, "This year, we will launch competitive new models such as the fully redesigned Kona and Santa Fe, as well as the first high-performance electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5 N." He added, "We will promote product development suitable for each regional market situation and strengthen local production systems." He continued, "Despite ongoing uncertainties in management, we will maximize sales through production and sales optimization and expand market share by improving the mix centered on high value-added models."
