Yoon "Strengthen Care and Education"... First Lady Kim Visits School for the Blind to Celebrate Enrollment

Congratulations Messages for Nationwide Entrance Ceremonies... "A Day Full of Excitement for Both Students and Parents"

President Yoon Suk-yeol stated on the 2nd, marking the entrance ceremonies for kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, "The government will further strengthen the national role in care and education."


On the same day, President Yoon said, "Today, kindergartens and elementary, middle, and high schools across the country are holding entrance ceremonies without masks for the first time in three years," adding, "I believe it will be an exciting day for both students and parents," according to the Presidential Office.

First Lady Kim Geon-hee personally attended the entrance ceremony. That morning, she participated in the entrance ceremony at Seoul School for the Blind in Jongno-gu, Seoul, congratulating about 40 new students on their admission. Mrs. Kim said, "At the end of last year, I adopted Saerom, a retired guide dog who guided the way and prevented dangers for those with visual impairments," adding, "Living with Saerom has made me think a lot about the daily lives of visually impaired people, so today's meeting feels even more warm and familiar."


Expressing gratitude for the 110 years of efforts by Seoul School for the Blind, Mrs. Kim presented a new model of a notebook-type braille device to support studies after the entrance ceremony and congratulated the new and returning students once again while taking photos with them.
