The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is participating as an educational institution in the "Bio Workforce Training Project" supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Accordingly, the agency is recruiting trainees for the "Practical Course on Quality Analysis of Biopharmaceuticals" until the 12th of this month.
This project is a collaboration among six related organizations nationwide, including the Gyeonggi-do Bio Center and the Korea Bio Association, aiming to train technical personnel in the fields of biopharmaceuticals and food through specialized education and support their employment.
Through the "Practical Course on Quality Analysis of Biopharmaceuticals," the agency will provide hands-on training that enables participants to understand the drug development and manufacturing process and acquire specialized quality analysis skills required at various stages.
The first training session runs from May 2 to July 28. The training is divided into common theoretical education on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for pharmaceuticals and on-site practical training, both offered free of charge. A total of 10 trainees will be recruited, and a second training session will be held in the second half of the year.
The "GMP Common Theoretical Education" is conducted by the Korea Bio Association and covers ▲Overview of the bio industry and pharmaceuticals ▲Introduction to biopharmaceutical GMP ▲Microbial and animal cell culture processes ▲Overview of quality control for health functional foods ▲Overview of pharmaceutical quality control.
The "On-site Practical Training" is provided by the Gyeonggi-do Bio Center and includes hands-on courses applicable to field duties such as ▲Understanding quality control and quality assurance ▲SOP writing practice ▲Recombinant protein production process practice ▲Biopharmaceutical characteristics and quality analysis practice.
The recruitment target is young individuals under 34 years old who have graduated or are expected to graduate with a bachelor's degree related to bio fields.
Lee Jong-seok, head of the Gyeonggi-do Bio Center, stated, "We will educate the necessary knowledge from an industrial perspective that is difficult to learn in regular school curricula and cultivate skilled personnel ready to be immediately deployed in the industrial field." He added, "This will be a very good opportunity for job seekers interested in employment in the pharmaceutical bio sector to become practical professional talents."
