Kangbuk Samsung Hospital announced on the 2nd that it has recruited outstanding medical staff, including Professor Baek Jeong-hwan from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology.
Professor Baek Jeong-hwan, an authority in the field of head and neck reconstruction, graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and served as the head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and as a senior professor at Samsung Seoul Hospital. Professor Baek has been recognized as a leading expert in removing head and neck cancers that occur on the face and reconstructing the face through microsurgical free flap techniques. In particular, he is also engaged in research activities such as using 3D printing surgical models to predict surgical accuracy and reconstruction outcomes.
Additionally, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital has recruited ophthalmology experts Gong Min-gwi and Kim Bo-hee. Through this recruitment, the hospital plans to provide advanced treatments across a wide range of retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment. In pediatrics, the hospital has recruited Professor Lim Su-yeon, who specializes in neonatal intensive care, and Professor Jo Gyeong-won, who specializes in pediatric emergency care. Kangbuk Samsung Hospital explained that this is meaningful as it not only strives to provide the best care for critically ill patients but also takes the lead in resolving pediatric crises.
