From the 6th to the 15th... Public recruitment starts from the end of March
DL Chemical has begun securing outstanding talent to leap forward as a global specialty petrochemical company.
DL Chemical announced on the 2nd that it will hold recruitment fairs at six major universities in Korea from the 6th to the 15th.
The recruitment fairs will be held in the following order: Hanyang University (6th), KAIST (7th), Yonsei University (8th), Seoul National University (13th), Korea University (14th), and Sungkyunkwan University (15th). DL Chemical plans to start its first open recruitment of the year at the end of March.
To increase participation of outstanding talent at this recruitment fair, DL Chemical will arrange one-on-one sessions where alumni currently working at the company from each school introduce the company and relevant job roles. Through this, DL Chemical plans to build a database of excellent candidates and support them to apply for regular and occasional recruitments conducted by DL Chemical in the future.
In recent years, DL Chemical has rapidly grown into a global chemical company with a variety of high value-added products by successfully acquiring overseas technology companies and establishing joint ventures. In 2020, it acquired synthetic rubber company Cariflex, and the following year, it established Direx Polymer, a company specializing in adhesive materials.
In March last year, DL Chemical completed the acquisition of Kraton, a global leader in the SBC and biochemical markets. Cariflex is the global number one in the synthetic rubber market for surgical gloves, and Kraton is the number one in the SBC market in the US and Europe as well as the world’s largest biochemical company. Additionally, DL Chemical holds the number one market share in the global PB market.
DL Chemical is also building a human resources system that meets global standards to help outstanding talent grow. To strengthen collaboration with global subsidiaries such as Kraton and Cariflex, it is expanding secondment and exchange work programs. DL Chemical’s research personnel have already been selected through the exchange work program and are currently working in the United States. Furthermore, DL Chemical has introduced and operates a flexible working environment and a horizontal and rational HR system based on a global organizational culture, breaking away from the conservative domestic corporate culture.
A DL Chemical official said, “DL Chemical, which owns many world market number one products, is the best company for talents who want to perform and grow on a broad stage,” adding, “We will continue to spare no support so that the top talents working with DL Chemical can fully demonstrate their capabilities.”
