Ssangyong Motor Conducts Support Program for Replacing Old Vehicles

Rexton Up to 7.5 Million KRW Discount

Ssangyong Motor announced on the 2nd that it will implement the ‘New Spring & New Car Festival’ to reduce the economic burden on customers. According to the company, customers can receive benefits worth up to 8.4 million KRW (for some models) depending on the vehicle type when combined with the old car support program. Even when purchasing models not eligible for the festival, a customer-tailored installment program, including reduced installment interest rates, will be offered.

Ssangyong Motor operates the ‘Old Car Replacement Support Program’ in line with the government’s early retirement support policy for old vehicles. Customers who scrap old diesel cars and purchase gasoline models such as Torres, Korando, and Tivoli will receive an additional 100,000 to 200,000 KRW on top of the government subsidy (up to 8 million KRW), depending on the vehicle type. For Rexton and New Rexton Sports & Khan, an additional support of up to 1 million KRW is provided on top of the government’s scrappage subsidy (up to 4 million KRW).

Also, customers who purchase festival-eligible models of the Rexton brand, such as the new Rexton and Rexton Sports & Khan, with a lump-sum payment will receive benefits worth a total of approximately 2.3 million KRW, including a Perfect Care Program valued at about 1.3 million KRW and a 1 million KRW discount. The Perfect Care Program includes five engine oil sets, three air conditioner filters, three fuel filters, five free inspections, and three front wiper replacements.

Including the loyalty program, customers can enjoy benefits worth up to 2.5 million KRW. When combined with the government’s early scrappage subsidy, discounts of up to 7.5 million KRW are possible.

Regarding benefits for purchasing models not eligible for the event, Torres, Korando, Tivoli, and Tivoli Air will continue to offer smart installment plans with reduced down payments (0~30%) and interest rates (1%) compared to last month, ranging from 4.9% (60 months) to 6.9% (72 months).

Additionally, the loyalty program, which provides an extra discount of 100,000 to 200,000 KRW depending on the number of repurchases of Ssangyong Motor models, will continue to be operated.
