Google Cloud announced on the 2nd that it unveiled new products for the telecommunications sector at the world's largest mobile communications exhibition, 'MWC 2023.'
Google Cloud launched three products?'Telecom Network Automation,' 'Telecom Data Fabric,' and 'Telecom Subscriber Insights'?as private preview versions globally. These new products, offered as integrated cloud solutions, support the construction, deployment, and operation of hybrid cloud-native networks, network data collection and management, and AI- and analytics-based customer experience enhancement.
Telecom Network Automation is a managed cloud version of Nepio that helps shorten product release cycles, improve interoperability among multiple vendors, reduce error-prone configurations, and lower operational costs. Nepio is an open-source project established in 2022 through a partnership between Google Cloud and the Linux Foundation.
Telecom Data Fabric helps telecom service providers quickly gain insights from data and simplifies data collection, normalization, and correlation analysis tasks through an adapter framework. Telecom service providers and independent software vendor developers can combine Google Cloud’s fully managed integrated data and AI analytics solution, Vertex AI, with Telecom Data Fabric to build AI and machine learning analytics applications that support cross-domain network operations, energy efficiency, customer experience improvement, and monetization.
Telecom Subscriber Insights is an AI-based product that enables deriving insights using existing data sources while securely protecting personal information. Telecom service providers can collect and analyze data with AI models to identify recommended actions and communicate with subscribers across various channels.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said, “In today’s environment where everything is connected, telecom service providers face pressure to build and manage next-generation networks amid rising capital and operational expenses. By applying cloud-native principles to network architecture and leveraging holistic data management sources to accelerate subscriber growth, we can bridge the connectivity gap that exists between the present and the future.”
