Gyeonggi Province will start a psychological treatment project next month to support the stable social settlement of probationers and their families.
On the 1st, Gyeonggi Province announced that on the 27th of last month, through the selection review committee for the 'Psychological Treatment Support Project for Probationers and Their Families,' the 'Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation Gyeonggi Branch' was preliminarily selected as a co-project operator.
The province will finalize the project operator at the end of this month after review by the 'Local Subsidy Deliberation Committee.'
Once the operator is selected, psychological counseling (individual counseling, family counseling, psychological testing, family healing programs) will be provided free of charge to probationers and their families to help them settle smoothly into society.
The total budget for the project is 156 million KRW. Priority will be given to low-income groups, and services will be provided after establishing a counseling plan through individual consultations.
Those wishing to use the service can apply individually or be recommended by an institution starting next month by contacting the Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation Gyeonggi Branch at 070-5208-1218. The branch will contact selected applicants individually to provide psychological treatment support.
