Kim Sung-joo, CEO of BNK Credit Information, Named Head of BNK Capital
Bang Seong-bin, former Executive Director of BNK Financial Group, and Ye Gyeong-tak, Deputy Vice President of BNK Gyeongnam Bank, have been respectively appointed as the presidents of BNK Busan Bank and BNK Gyeongnam Bank.
On the 28th, Busan Bank held consecutive meetings of the Executive Recommendation Committee (ERC) and the Board of Directors, announcing that former Executive Director Bang would be recommended as the CEO candidate of Busan Bank at the shareholders' meeting.
The ERC conducted in-depth interviews with two CEO candidates, Deputy Vice President Kang Sang-gil of Busan Bank and former Executive Director Bang, in the morning and made this decision.
Former Executive Director Bang graduated from Buniel High School and Dong-A University with a degree in law. He has served as an instructor at Busan Bank Training Center, Head of Management Planning, Head of Management Strategy Group (Deputy Vice President), and Head of Group Global Division (Executive Director).
Gyeongnam Bank also held meetings of the ERC and the Board of Directors on the same day and appointed Deputy Vice President Ye as the next CEO of Gyeongnam Bank. Choi Hong-young, president of Gyeongnam Bank, voluntarily retired before the ERC to open growth opportunities for his juniors. Accordingly, the Gyeongnam Bank ERC selected Deputy Vice President Ye as the next bank president candidate.
Appointee Ye graduated from Miryang High School and Busan National University with a degree in sociology. He has served as Head of the Card Business Department and Executive Director of the Eastern Sales Headquarters at Gyeongnam Bank. Since 2021, he has been the Head of the Credit Operations Group (Deputy Vice President).
Personnel changes were also made in non-bank affiliates. BNK Capital appointed Kim Seong-ju, CEO of BNK Credit Information, as its CEO through the ERC. Appointee Kim graduated from Geochang High School in Gyeongnam and Dong-A University with a degree in public administration. He has held positions such as Head of Busan Bank Headquarters (IB Business Headquarters, Credit Sales Headquarters), Head of Group Risk Management Division at BNK Financial Group (Executive Director), and Head of Group Global Division (Vice President).
The three CEO appointees will be officially appointed as inside directors and representatives after the shareholders' meetings of each company next month, and their terms will begin on April 1.
