Hyundai Motor Group Holds Launch Ceremony for 'University Student Volunteer Group H-Jump School'

Hyundai Motor Group held the launch ceremony for the 10th class of the social contribution program “University Student Education Volunteer Group H-Jump School,” aimed at addressing the blind spots in youth education.


The launch ceremony, held on the 28th at EL Tower in Yangjae (located in Seocho-gu, Seoul), was attended by Han Yong-bin, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, Lee Ui-heon, Chairman of the Jump Foundation, event officials, employee mentors, and about 250 university student mentors of the 10th class. Approximately 200 university student mentors residing in provincial areas participated online.


After the launch ceremony, a talk concert by employee mentors and small group mentoring sessions were held, along with a special lecture by Professor Kim Kyung-il of Ajou University’s Department of Psychology, providing participating university students with various insights and raising expectations for future activities.


The “University Student Education Volunteer Group H-Jump School” selects university student mentors to support youth in educational blind spots. Selected university student mentors receive mentoring from Hyundai Motor Group employees and professionals, as well as scholarships, as part of this social contribution program.

Since 2013, Hyundai Motor Group has consistently operated the education volunteer group program, creating a virtuous cycle of educational sharing that contributes to nurturing well-rounded talents and reducing educational disparities.


The 10th class of the “University Student Education Volunteer Group H-Jump School,” operated on the largest scale ever, consists of a total of 450 members. From March for about 10 months, they will provide personalized education across all subjects and career mentoring to approximately 1,800 youths at local children’s centers and educational welfare institutions.


The 450 university students of the 10th class will receive benefits including ▲a scholarship of 3 million KRW ▲mentoring from Hyundai Motor Group employees and professionals from various fields, and outstanding participants will be given opportunities for overseas exploration.


A Hyundai Motor Group official stated, “Hyundai Motor Group’s ‘University Student Education Volunteer Group H-Jump School’ supports the growth of both participating youths and university students through a virtuous cycle of talent sharing,” adding, “Hyundai Motor Group will continue its efforts to create a society where everyone can enjoy learning opportunities without discrimination and grow together.”
