CJ CheilJedang announced on the 28th the launch of 'Haechandle Chapssal Taeyangcho Gochujang,' a representative brand of jang (fermented sauces) that offers a clean taste and cooking convenience.


Haechandle Chapssal Taeyangcho Gochujang is made with premium glutinous rice, giving it a chewy texture and glossy appearance. By adding CJ CheilJedang's unique fermentation method, the original taste of gochujang has been improved, making cooking easier.


The new product uses a newly developed 'N.F.T (New Fermentation Technology · constant temperature liquid fermentation)' process to improve the characteristic heavy taste of gochujang. The grain particles of the raw materials are finely ground, and the glutinous rice is directly fermented, resulting in a clean spicy flavor instead of heaviness.


Consumer convenience has also been enhanced. The soft raw material particles dissolve in boiling water in about one minute, which is about half the time compared to existing products, making it easy to add to various gochujang-based soup dishes such as gochujang jjigae and tteokbokki.


A CJ CheilJedang official said, “Haechandle Chapssal Taeyangcho Gochujang is a product that applies Haechandle's new fermentation technology to traditional Taeyangcho gochujang made with glutinous rice,” adding, “We will continue to develop technologies for the best taste and quality to maintain Haechandle's number one position in gochujang sales.”
