On this day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 32,889.09, up 72.17 points (0.22%) from the previous session. The S&P 500, which focuses on large-cap stocks, rose 12.20 points (0.31%) to 3,982.24, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq index closed at 11,466.98, up 72.04 points (0.63%).
