Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting companies interested in participating in the 2023 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Product Packaging Production and Product Development Project until March 13.
The Hamyang Wild Ginseng Product Packaging Production and Product Development Project is being conducted by the county to foster the processing and distribution industry of wild ginseng and to establish a foundation for the anti-aging sixth industry by commercializing health food products that combine active wild ginseng with Hamyang agricultural and specialty products, thereby enhancing the value of agricultural and specialty products.
This project aims to increase the competitiveness of wild ginseng and promote the secondary processing industry by commercializing functional food products using wild ginseng and producing packaging materials.
The support targets are companies or agricultural and specialty product producer groups (such as agricultural cooperatives and farming associations) that produce or intend to produce and sell fusion products using wild ginseng. As of the support date in 2023, their location (headquarters, factory, production area, etc.) must be in Hamyang-gun, and they must be able to provide at least 50% of the support funds as cash self-contribution.
There are two support areas: product development, which supports up to 30 million KRW per case, and product packaging production, which supports up to 5 million KRW.
Applications are accepted until March 13. Interested companies and groups can download the related forms from the website, complete the application form and business plan, and submit them in person to the Hamyang-gun Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging and Ginseng Industry Department.
Hamyang-gun plans to select support recipients through a selection committee review, and the selected companies will carry out the project from April to November.
