Park Soon-jung, a designated apprentice of Choi Yoo-hyun, holder of National Intangible Cultural Property No. 80, presents traditional embroidery works on clothing and everyday items such as "Gungjung Hwalot" (royal court ceremonial robe), "Sasindo" (Four Guardian Spirits: Black Tortoise, Vermilion Bird, Blue Dragon, Magpie Tiger), "Shingu Yeonhwado," "Durujumeoni" (pouch), and "Sujeojip" (spoon case), as well as wall hangings.
Kim Hee-jin, who won the Cultural Heritage Administration Award at the 50th Korea Craft Exhibition, showcased works dyed with traditional dyes such as gambier, ink, and indigo on fabrics like cotton and ramie, incorporating gold and silver threads and Western embroidery techniques on top.
A representative work is "The Breath of Baekje," which expresses the chrysanthemum pattern from the mural of King Muryeong's tomb using gold and silver threads on indigo-dyed ramie.
Director Lim Kyung-ryeol said, "It will be a great opportunity to appreciate traditional and Western embroidery techniques, aesthetic expressions, and color ratios in one place."
Meanwhile, during the same period, an exhibition of thank-you gifts from the Naju City Hometown Love Donation Program is being held in the museum's special exhibition hall, adding to the diverse attractions.
