Pharmaceutical Bio Healthcare Association to Hold First Forum on the 9th of Next Month

Diagnosis of Latest Trends in Healthcare, Medical Data, and New Drugs

The Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Healthcare Federation announced on the 27th that it will hold its 1st forum at 2 p.m. on the 9th of next month at the International Conference Hall on the 20th floor of the Press Center in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.

Hosted by the Federation and practically managed by the Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association, the forum is expected to be attended by over 200 people, including CEOs of member companies from the six organizations participating in the Federation.

At the forum, Professor Won Hee-mok, a special professor at Seoul National University who will complete his term as president of the Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association at the end of this month, will deliver the keynote speech on the theme "In the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Pharmaceutical Bio Healthcare Landscape Changes." Following this, Professor Kang Geon-wook of Seoul National University, who serves as the Chair of the Healthcare Committee of the International Future Studies Federation, will present on "Medical MyData and Consumer Participation Customized Healthcare," and Oh Doo-byung, Director of New Drug Development at the National Research Foundation of Korea, will speak on "Paradigm Shift in New Drug Development in the Era of Bio Transformation."

Applications for participation are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis by each organization, and the Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association is accepting applications through the "Notices" section on its website.

The Federation was launched on the 13th of last month with the participation of six organizations: Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association, Korea Smart Healthcare Association, Korea Bio Pharmaceuticals Association, Korea Pharmaceutical Importers and Exporters Association, Advanced Regenerative Medicine Industry Association, and Korea New Drug Development Research Association. Starting with the 1st forum next month, the Federation plans to hold forums every two months, with each organization taking turns to host.

The Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association, which is hosting the Federation's first forum, stated, "This is a time when innovation in related industries such as pharmaceutical bio and digital health is progressing rapidly," and added, "We expect a lot of content to be shared in line with the purpose of the Federation's launch, such as maximizing the effects of open innovation cooperation for the joint development of these industries."
