The Hot Topic in the Home Appliance Market is 'Ultra Energy Saving'
Recently, with the rise in energy prices such as electricity rate increases, high-efficiency home appliances have become popular.
According to Danawa, a price comparison service by Connect Wave, from the 1st to the 18th of this month, sales of high-efficiency home appliances have significantly increased compared to the previous year.
The proportion of high-efficiency appliances among regular washing machines rose from 67% to 87%, non-wall-mounted air conditioners increased from 18% to 86%, drum washing machines from 57% to 74%, TVs from 66% to 68%, dehumidifiers from 61% to 64%, air purifiers from 9% to 11%, and wall-mounted air conditioners from 4% to 8%.
A Danawa representative stated, “Most 2023 model air conditioners are released with energy consumption efficiency ratings of 1 to 2, making ultra-energy-saving a key topic in the home appliance market.” He added, “Given the high sensitivity to this electricity rate increase, we expect practical technologies that allow consumers to experience high efficiency and ultra-energy-saving to be introduced.”
