Finding Policy Ideas... Ulsan City Announces Youth Activity Experience Support Project Contest

Recruiting 15 Teams, 3 to 6 Million KRW Support Per Team

Ulsan City is recruiting participants for a youth support project that brings various youth ideas into policies.

From the 27th to March 17th, Ulsan City will begin recruiting participants for the "2023 Youth Activity Experience Support Project."

The "Youth Activity Experience Support Project" is based on the Youth Basic Act and Ulsan City's Youth Basic Ordinance, selecting and supporting 10 teams for activity experience type that help youth voluntarily explore career paths and set life directions, and 5 teams for problem-solving type that support youth public interest activities by discovering and implementing solutions to local community issues in daily life.

The selected teams will carry out activities for six months and can receive activity funds ranging from 3 million KRW to a maximum of 6 million KRW per team.

Eligible applicants are groups or organizations composed of three or more youth aged 19 to 34 who reside in Ulsan or are based in Ulsan.

However, applications are excluded if the same or similar project content is already receiving funding from the central government, other local governments, public organizations, etc., or if the activities are for religious, political party, or profit purposes.

Detailed application methods and support information can be found on the Ulsan City and Ulsan Youth Policy Platform websites.

A representative from Ulsan City's Population and Youth Affairs Office said, "This will provide youth with opportunities to plan and execute activities in various fields such as culture, arts, volunteer work, and welfare on their own, offering social experience opportunities and serving as a chance to proactively explore youth policies tailored to our city through youth ideas."

Since 2021, Ulsan City has been promoting the Youth Activity Experience Support Project, offering various programs that provide youth with opportunities to explore careers through self-directed activities in hobbies, leisure, and public interest fields.

Also, starting from January this year, Ulsan City has transitioned to directly operating the Ulsan Youth Center, striving to more stably implement customized youth policies such as operating a youth policy counseling office, supporting youth supporters' activities, and supporting the operation of district and county youth hub spaces.
