March 2, 10 a.m. ... Purchase limit up to 1 million KRW
15% purchase discount, valid for one year from the purchase date
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will issue the ‘Guro Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ at 10 a.m. on March 2.
Guro-gu announced on the 27th that “following the public delivery app business agreement signed last month to revitalize the local economy, we will issue a Guro-type public delivery app exclusive gift certificate every month.”
The ‘Guro Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ is a mobile-only gift certificate usable on the public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’.
The district plans to issue gift certificates worth 100 million KRW every month on the 1st (or the next day if it is a holiday) to reduce residents’ consumption burden and promote ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’.
Gift certificates can be purchased at a 15% discount up to 100,000 KRW per person per month through the ‘Seoul Pay+’, ‘Shinhan pLay’, ‘Shinhan SOL’, ‘T-money Pay’, and ‘Money Tree’ apps, with a maximum holding limit of 1 million KRW. The validity period is one year from the purchase date.
Guro-gu signed a public-private cooperative public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ business agreement with Shinhan Bank last month to support small business owners’ management with low delivery brokerage fees.
On March 1, the district issued the ‘Guro Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ worth 200 million KRW for the first time and completed early sales.
A Guro-gu official said, “The newly launched Ttaenggyeoyo project this year will benefit both small business owners and consumers,” and “We ask many residents to use it.”
Currently, about 1,180 affiliated stores are registered on ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ within the region.
Songpa-gu Recruiting Participating Companies for ‘Small and Medium Enterprise Market Development’
Support for over 40 companies including ▲participation in exhibitions ▲up to 2.5 million KRW for marketing and sales expenses... Applications accepted until March 10
Proven business effects such as up to 3.3 times increase in company sales in 2022 and new job creation
Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) is launching the ‘Small and Medium Enterprise Market Development Support’ project to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) recover management amid difficulties caused by high interest rates and inflation.
The district has been promoting the ‘Small and Medium Enterprise Market Development Support’ project since 2020, the first among Seoul’s autonomous districts, to help local SMEs with excellent technology but insufficient funds to leap forward.
According to the district, over the past three years, the project has supported a total of 146 companies with 361 million KRW. As a result, company sales in 2022 increased up to 3.3 times, and new employee hiring is planned, proving job creation effects. The satisfaction of participating companies was especially high because they could directly choose the marketing methods they wanted to receive support for.
This year, support will be provided for ▲participation in domestic and international exhibitions ▲sales channels and marketing.
First, support for participation in domestic and international exhibitions will provide a stepping stone to increase company recognition. Booth rental fees will be supported up to 2.5 million KRW per company. Considering the recent trend of increased online exhibitions due to COVID-19, online exhibition participation fees are also included in the support scope. Companies that have already participated in exhibitions this year can also apply retroactively.
Additionally, sales channel and marketing expenses will be provided up to 2.5 million KRW per company. Companies can directly select and apply for marketing methods they want, such as radio advertisements, live commerce, and catalog production.
Furthermore, selected companies will be linked to free management and technical consulting with Songpa-gu management advisors. For companies facing difficulties in project implementation due to small scale or lack of dedicated marketing departments or staff, practical help will be provided through 1:1 mentoring and on-site consultations.
The district plans to select and support about 40 SMEs. Eligible companies are SMEs registered with a business or factory registration in Songpa-gu. Those wishing to participate can check detailed information on the Songpa-gu website and apply by March 10. For more details, contact the Corporate Support Team of the Economic Promotion Division at Songpa-gu Office.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “We are devising various support measures for local SMEs struggling due to the recent difficult economic conditions,” and “We expect that this support will help SMEs with excellent technology develop sales channels, gain competitiveness, and grow.”
Geumcheon-gu, 2023 Food Promotion Fund Loans
District supports loans for food service and food manufacturing businesses
Total scale of 150 million KRW, applications at the district hygiene department
Annual interest rate 2% (1% for restroom facility improvements), 1-3 years grace period, 2-5 years equal installment repayment
Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yoo Sung-hoon) announced that it will provide loans from the Food Promotion Fund to ease the economic burden of small food-related businesses facing difficulties and to improve food hygiene standards.
The loan scale is a total of 150 million KRW and will be operated on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
Eligible applicants are food manufacturing businesses and food service establishments such as general and casual restaurants, bakeries, and catering businesses licensed (registered) in Geumcheon-gu. However, operators of pubs, soju bars, karaoke bars, entertainment bars, businesses handling objectionable foods, those currently repaying loans from the Food Promotion Fund, or those within one year after repayment are excluded.
The application amount limit ranges from 20 million KRW to 150 million KRW per business, with an interest rate of 2%, which is lower than market rates (1% for restroom facility improvements). The loan conditions include a 1-3 year grace period and 2-5 years of equal installment repayments.
The loan is intended for ‘facility improvement funds’ used for repairs, renovations, or installation and possession of machinery and equipment necessary for business operations aimed at improving hygiene standards. Loans can cover up to 80% of the total required amount.
Model businesses can also use the funds for improving hygiene management facilities and menu development necessary for restaurant operations.
Businesses wishing to apply can visit the district hygiene department. Details on loan amounts and repayment conditions by loan type and business category can be found in the ‘Notices and Announcements’ section on the Geumcheon-gu Public Health Center website.
Yoo Sung-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “We hope that the Food Promotion Fund loan support will be of great help to food-related businesses struggling amid high inflation and high interest rates.”
