Kim Nam-guk Tops with Over 330.14 Million Won
Jang Je-won Leads Ruling Party with Over 321.03 Million Won

Last year, the lawmakers who raised the most donations from the People Power Party and the Democratic Party of Korea were Jang Je-won of the People Power Party, a member of the 'Pro-Yoon faction (Pro-Yoon Seok-yeol faction),' and Kim Nam-guk of the Democratic Party of Korea, a member of the 'Pro-Lee faction (Pro-Lee Jae-myung faction),' respectively.


According to the '2022 National Assembly Members' Support Committee Fundraising Amount' details released by the National Election Commission on the 24th, Kim, a member of the hardline first-term lawmakers' group 'Cheoreomhoe' and the party's Supreme Council member, raised about 330.14 million KRW, ranking first among 299 lawmakers. In the Democratic Party, Lee Won-wook, a member of the 'Non-Lee faction (Non-Lee Jae-myung faction),' ranked second with about 322.69 million KRW. Following was Lee Tan-hee, also a member of Cheoreomhoe, with about 310.87 million KRW.


In the People Power Party, Jang, a member of the 'Pro-Yoon faction,' received the highest donations amounting to about 321.03 million KRW. He was followed by Kim Byung-wook (about 314.93 million KRW), Yoon Sang-hyun (about 313.41 million KRW), and Jeong Hee-yong (about 312.18 million KRW).

By party, the ruling party, the People Power Party, ranked first with about 1.76367 billion KRW in donations. Next was the Progressive Party with about 1.62417 billion KRW. This was followed by the Our Republican Party (about 476.9 million KRW) and the Democratic Party (about 452.43 million KRW).


According to the National Election Commission, last year, 309 National Assembly members' support committees (including 10 dissolved committees) raised a total of 58.579 billion KRW. This is an increase of about 17.8 billion KRW compared to 40.713 billion KRW in 2021.


The average fundraising amount per support committee was about 189 million KRW, an increase of approximately 54 million KRW compared to about 135 million KRW in 2021.
