[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] Samsung Electronics announced on the 27th (local time) that it will showcase a premium mobile experience based on the 'Galaxy ecosystem' at the 'Mobile World Congress 2023' (MWC23) opening in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung Electronics set up a large-scale Galaxy exhibition booth measuring 1,745m² (528 pyeong) in the center of Hall 3 at Fira Gran Via, where MWC23 is held. The recently launched Galaxy S23 series, released on the 17th, is exhibited on a large scale to welcome visitors. The exhibition booth is designed so that visitors can experience the camera performance and various innovative features. Partners such as Samsung Display, Google, and Qualcomm also set up Galaxy experience zones at their respective booths, showcasing various innovative components and software such as 'mobile displays,' 'Android OS,' and 'mobile AP.'

Emphasizing Galaxy S23 Series Camera Performance... Operating Experience Booth

The Samsung Electronics exhibition booth is designed to allow visitors to experience the latest mobile products such as the 'Galaxy S23 Ultra,' unveiled on the 1st in San Francisco, USA, and the premium laptop 'Galaxy Book3 Ultra,' as well as the more powerful Galaxy ecosystem.

Samsung Electronics created a camera studio within the exhibition hall with a movie set concept inspired by 'outer space' and 'Seoul at night' so that visitors can experience the powerful camera performance of the Galaxy S23 series. Visitors can experience the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s unique 200-megapixel camera and the 'Nightography' feature as if they were movie directors or professional photographers in the studio.

A space to experience the powerful mobile gaming performance of the 'Galaxy S23 series' was also prepared. Visitors can enjoy various mobile games in an experience space designed with an e-sports stadium concept and experience the powerful product performance.

Additionally, visitors can simultaneously experience the diverse Galaxy ecosystem, including the data-based sleep coaching function provided by the 'Galaxy Watch5,' SmartThings connecting Galaxy smartphones with Samsung Smart TVs, air purifiers, robot vacuum cleaners, and Samsung Pay. Samsung Electronics also introduces its eco-friendly vision 'Everyday Sustainability' and efforts to achieve its goals. Visitors can check the design story of the Galaxy S23 series, which uses the most recycled materials among all Galaxy smartphones to date, as well as various eco-friendly accessory products.

Collaboration with Global Partners... Showcasing the Galaxy Ecosystem

Samsung Display, which collaborates on Galaxy’s mobile displays, set up a separate exhibition booth in Hall 2 at Fira Gran Via to showcase the innovative performance of the latest displays to visitors. Visitors can directly see the durability of the UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) installed on the Galaxy Z Fold4 and also experience the 'Dynamic AMOLED 2X' display of the Galaxy Book3 series.

At Google's 'Android' exhibition booth located between Hall 2 and Hall 3, visitors can confirm the partnership between Samsung Electronics and Google. Visitors can experience Android’s 'hearing assistance features' on Galaxy smartphones. For example, when a microwave or dishwasher finishes, the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z Flip4 recognize the end alarm sound and notify users through display and vibration. Also, visitors can control the camera of a Galaxy smartphone located far away using the Galaxy Watch5 to take selfies.

At Qualcomm’s exhibition booth located in Hall 3, visitors can experience powerful gaming performance with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with the 'Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy,' providing stronger usability and mobile gaming experiences.

Presenting the Future of Next-Generation 5G Networks

At MWC23, Samsung Electronics will unveil new 5G solutions supplied to major global commercial networks in the US, UK, Japan, and other countries to global telecom operators. It plans to showcase various technologies such as ▲next-generation 5G virtualized RAN, ▲next-generation 64T64R Massive MIMO radio base stations, and ▲software-based energy-saving solutions and network automation solutions.

Samsung will also introduce its newly developed high-performance network chipset lineup (Samsung Networks Chipset), including 5G modem chips (5G Modem SoC) and wireless communication chips (RFIC).

Samsung Electronics’ next-generation 5G base stations equipped with the new chipsets are smaller and lighter than before, but their data processing capacity has nearly doubled, and power consumption per cell has been reduced by about 40%.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics also unveiled large outdoor advertisements for the latest mobile products such as the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Book3 series at the entrance of the MWC venue. The outdoor advertisement, measuring 20 meters wide and 9 meters high, was created to let people feel the excitement of MWC23 even outside the exhibition hall.
