O Tae-wan, Uiryeong County Governor, Inspects National and Provincial Funded Project Sites

O Tae-wan, the governor of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, is making extensive efforts to secure national and provincial funding projects.

To this end, Governor Oh consecutively held meetings with provincial council members, dialogues with the governor, and strategic briefing sessions with department heads.

On the 23rd, he visited sites of national and provincial funding projects within the jurisdiction. This was to conduct preliminary inspections to ensure the proper execution of these projects and to establish grounds for securing supplementary projects.

O Tae-wan, Uiryeong County Governor, Inspects National and Provincial Funded Project Sites On the 23rd, Oh Tae-wan, the mayor of Uiryeong County, is inspecting the national and local government-funded project sites in the district.

Uiryeong-gun is putting its life on securing national and provincial funds to compensate for its poor financial resources.

Earlier, on the 9th, during a meeting with provincial council member Kwon Won-man, they prioritized local pending projects and sought a strategic joint response to secure national and provincial funding.

On the 14th, Park Wan-su, the governor of Gyeongnam Province, visited Uiryeong-gun and promised provincial funding support for pending projects such as the four-lane expansion of National Road No. 20 between Jeonggok and Burim sections.

Accordingly, Uiryeong-gun plans to secure 113.8 billion KRW in national and provincial funds next year, an increase of 9.8 billion KRW compared to this year.

On that day, Governor Oh visited the Jagulsan Natural Recreation Forest and the site of the Jagulsan?Hanwoosan tourism belt linkage facility construction project, as well as the A-geun 1 District steep slope collapse risk area maintenance project site, urging the prevention of safety accidents and casualties among residents.

The Jagulsan Natural Recreation Forest is in the final stages of construction for experience facilities such as Net Adventure and Goblin’s Golden Cave, and the Jagulsan?Hanwoosan tourism belt linkage facility construction project is hastening the commencement of the third phase of tunnel construction connecting Jagulsan and Hanwoosan.

Especially, Jagulsan and Hanwoosan, which boast pristine natural environments, are expected to attract many tourists this year and next year during the ‘Year of Visit Uiryeong,’ so great care is being taken to enhance the completeness of the projects.

Governor O Tae-wan said, “Securing national and provincial funding projects is not the end with budget acquisition, but it is more important to continuously push ourselves to produce excellent results,” adding, “Securing national and provincial funds is a fate-like task for us, and let us do our best to secure these funds, which will serve as the foundation for Uiryeong’s next 50 years.”
