[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 24th that it conducted the 2023 Anti-Corruption and Integrity Education for about 1,000 public officials, including Chairman Jo Samsul of the Hapcheon-gun Council and 10 other council members, at the 3rd-floor auditorium of the Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Hapcheon-gun.
The education was carried out following the strong will of the county governor expressed at the department heads and eup/myeon chiefs meeting on January 26, to strengthen anti-corruption and integrity education targeting not only general public officials but also all public employees including contract workers.
Kim Yoon-cheol, Governor of Hapcheon County, Gyeongnam, is conducting anti-corruption and integrity training for all employees.
This education, prepared to enhance the integrity awareness of all employees and establish a culture of integrity within the organization, was conducted for two hours with invited speakers Park Jumi, Audit Officer, and Yoon Suseong, Administrative Officer, from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. The topics covered included the 2022 Hapcheon-gun Anti-Corruption and Integrity Evaluation Consulting, the spirit of integrity learned from Nammyung’s philosophy, and understanding the Act on the Prohibition of Solicitation and the Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest.
Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, “Through today’s lecture, I hope our county achieves good results in eradicating corruption and improving integrity, and that each public official strengthens their psychological armament to boldly resist the temptation of solicitation.”
